Ingredients

  • 2 Amoroso or hoagie rolls
  • 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 cup caramelized onions
  • 4 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil.
  • Season the ribeye steak with salt and pepper, then cook until browned and slightly crispy. Chop into smaller pieces while cooking.
  • Push the steak to one side and add caramelized onions to the skillet.
  • Layer the cheese over the steak and onions. Cover and let the cheese melt.
  • Slice the rolls open and toast lightly.
