Ingredients
Scale
- For the Biscuits:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup cold almond milk (or regular milk)

- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 cups oat milk (or whole milk)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or butter)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Make the Biscuits:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in almond milk gently until a shaggy dough forms.
- Pat dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle, fold into thirds, and roll out again.
- Cut biscuits using a round cutter without twisting.
- Place on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
- Make the Chocolate Gravy:
- In a saucepan, whisk sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch.
- Gradually add oat milk, whisking until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until thickened (5–7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in coconut oil, vanilla, and sea salt.
- Serve warm biscuits smothered in chocolate gravy and enjoy!
Notes
Keep butter cold for flakier biscuits. If gravy is too thick, whisk in more milk; if too thin, simmer a little longer. Great for brunch, dessert, or a cozy breakfast.
