  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (or similar pasta)
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  • Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • Combine the cooked pasta and beef sauce in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top if desired.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and the cheese is melted.
